What exactly IS a New Orleans Snoball? +
A New Orleans Snoball is NOT a sno-cone! The key difference is the ice. Our machines shave the ice ultra-fine — like fluffy powder snow — so the syrup saturates every single crystal completely. The result is a soft, flavor-packed experience unlike anything else. Sno-cones use crushed chunky ice; snoballs use cloud-soft shaved ice. It’s a whole different world!
How far in advance should I book? +
We recommend booking at least 2–3 weeks in advance for standard events, and 4–6 weeks for weddings, large festivals, or peak summer weekends. We’ll always do our best to accommodate last-minute requests based on availability!
Do you travel outside of Metro Detroit? +
Yes! We serve the greater Metro Detroit area and surrounding Michigan cities. Travel fees may apply for events beyond our standard service radius. Contact us with your location and we’ll work out the details.
Can guests mix flavors or customize their snoball? +
Absolutely! Guests can mix up to 3 flavors in one cup. For events, we can create a custom signature flavor named after your event, couple, or honoree. Add cream cheese ice, condensed milk, or gummy bears. The possibilities are endless!
Are there allergen-friendly options? +
Many of our standard snoball flavors are free from common allergens. However, some premium flavors and add-ons such as cream cheese ice may contain dairy or other ingredients. Please contact us directly to discuss specific dietary needs and we’ll do our best to accommodate your guests.
Can you do indoor events? +
Yes! While our trailer shines at outdoor events, we can also set up indoors with appropriate arrangements for space and drainage. Reach out with your venue details and we’ll determine the best setup for your event.
Do you partner with schools and nonprofits for fundraisers? +
Yes — and we love community partnerships! Lucille’s Snoballs offers a Fundraiser Partnership Program for schools, churches, nonprofits, and community organizations. We can structure a percentage-based, flat donation, or custom fundraiser model. Contact us to request a Fundraiser Partnership Agreement.
What is your deposit and cancellation policy? +
A non-refundable deposit is required to hold your event date. All deposits are final — there are no refunds under any circumstances, including but not limited to weather, illness, family emergencies, or acts of God. We understand life happens, and while we cannot offer refunds, we are always willing to work with you on rescheduling subject to availability. Please reach out as early as possible if your plans change.
